Recital Information for Dancers
Our 34th annual dance recital will take place on Friday, June 19th and Saturday, June 20th at 7:30 PM. There will be a mandatory dress rehearsal on Thursday, June 18th at the Everett Civic Auditorium, 2415 Colby, Everett.
Tickets: Seating is not reserved and tickets can be purchased at the studio beginning May 16th or at the box office on the nights of the performances (cash or check only). Please sign for and pick up your ticket package at the front desk.
Dress Rehearsal will be on Thursday, June 18th at the Everett Civic Auditorium. Students should arrive in full costume and make-up at the stage door entrance. Those dancing in the first act will rehearse from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. Dancers in the ballet will rehearse from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Visitors will not be allowed in the theatre. Preschool students can be picked up at the stage door immediately after they have danced. Other students can be picked up at 6:00 PM.
Costumes: Put full names in all costumes, shoes and accessories. Do not bring jewelry, watches, money or other valuables to the auditorium. Hair clips and elastics should match hair color. Ballet slippers should be clean with the ties taped inside. Tap shoes must have black elastic loops. No gum, food or drink is allowed in the theatre.
Performance: Dancers must arrive in full costume and make-up no later than 6:45 PM. Curtain time is 7:30 PM. The box office will open 45 minutes before curtain time. For the SAFETY of the performers and CONSIDERATION for the rest of the audience, NO PHOTOGRAPHY OR VIDEO TAPING will be allowed during recital performances or dress rehearsal.
Volunteers are needed to help backstage during dress rehearsal and recital and to donate cookies for the competition classes to sell during intermission. Parents who are backstage on recital nights will have the opportunity to watch their child perform without purchasing a ticket. Sign up at the desk if you are able to help.
DVDs of the recital performance will be available for $45. They must be pre-ordered at the front desk.
